Project Trailblazer

Project Trailblazer (formerly All-EN, African-American Lifestyle Living for the Environment), was a Chesapeake Bay Trust funded initiative designed to get Black families outside to explore green and aquatic spaces and learn how to be better champions for the environment. We still continue to engage the community through education outreach initiatives that includes the annual Easter Geocache Egg Hunt and planting and invasive plant removal and exploring Maryland wetlands and national parks.

Easter GeoCache Egg Hunt

The inaugural Easter GeoCache Egg Hunt is where outdoor fun meets STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). The youth community and their parents came together to learn about GeoCaching and how to apply those principles to search for Easter eggs.

What a great way to bring people together to explore the outdoors!
