The Institute for STEM Equity, Equality and Inclusion Research engages in scholarly pedagogical research and discussion on the African Diaspora resiliency and the impact of disparities in equal and equitable access to quality experiences in STEM for those historically excluded from STEM spaces.

South Pacific Tour: Diversity in the Marine Sciences, US Department of State

Dr. Winrow serves as a speaker ambassador for the US Department of State. During her time on a speaker tour to the South Pacific Islands Fiji, Samoa, and the Cook Islands, she engaged middle and high school students in discussions and educational activities that support STEM literacy and marine conservation,. and meet with educators, NGOs and government agencies to discus the broader impacts of STEM engagement at an early age with populations historically underrepresented in STEM.
